Sometimes some of the oil stays in the upper cylinder. That's been my case running the Castrol Syntec 0W30 because at other times I get a normal reading. It could be you have a miniscule (almost undetectable) issues with a leak around the rings or an issue with one of the piston walls. That's going to happen after the oil has sheared, even at 3000K. I've used Restore in the past and that has helped. Another one that helps more with the rings than the pistons is the Lubro Moly Motor Oil Saver (Napa is where I see this stuff more often). It can't go anywhere else. The only other thing is to run the vehicle for about 15 minutes from a cold start (that should get it fully up to warm temperature) and see if you see anything, then take take it around the block a few times, come back and recheck with the motor on.
