oil level high at 4 quarts?

Hey, so I am new here, just bought a 1995 with the v6. I changed the oil and filter and filled it with 4 quarts. I started it, let it run for about a minute, then let it sit for 10. I checked the oil and it is showing that it is way to full? I was wondering if this is correct? I drained it when it was up on ramps...could this have left some oil in it? Not sure what to do as I could drain some, but I am only at 4 quarts, and that doesnt seem right....thanks!

sounds like you didnt get all the oil out should be a 5 qt pan. Oh ya WELCOME !!!

Changing a T4R's oil is usually done on level ground since the truck sits really high. My 300 pound, 6' 5" father has no problem sliding around under my truck.
