Oil Poured out. HELP!

First off, let me say that I am religious about changing my oil every 3 months or 3000 miles. I have a 1990 4Runner that was about a quart & 1/2 low on oil after a long trip. I filled the oil up, and got in and started the car. (It actually coughed twice before it started which it had never done before).

I was going to check the transmission fluid, and noticed that most or all the oil from my car was pouring onto the ground.

It came from what looks to be the front of the engine behind the timing chain cover, but was hard to locate directly because it poured out so quickly.

The engine, even though this happened, still ran fine, so I don't believe that there is engine damage.
Anyone have any ideas?

The first thing I would check is the front main oil seal on the crankshaft.

Thanks for the Help

That certainly looks like what has happened. I am taking it in today and will let you know if that's what it was.
