oil pressure problem or not?

I bought a 93 4 runner with 131k on it yesterday, but I noticed once the truck warms up the oil pressure will drop way down but when you are giving it gas it goes up to half way. Should I be concerned or is this common? I have never had a 4 runner before

Oil thins out a lot when it gets hot. You can tell when your oil temperature starts getting up to normal (~205-220 degrees, depending on the vehicle) as the oil pressure drops. If you don't have an oil temp gauge, this is the easiest way to tell.

Just because your water temperature gauge is up to the 'normal' operating range in the morning doesn't mean the oil is up to normal temperature. It usually takes 10-15 minutes of driving for the oil to get warmed up.
