Oil/ Transmission fluid recommendations

Anyone use 5W-30 in the 3rd gen 6 cyl? I've got 10W30 GTX to use, but wondered if the 5W30 is ok to use. I buy the GTX 5W30 for my other vehicles and that way I would only have to have one oil weight around the house, and I've heard the 5W30 gives a little better MPG.
For transmission fluid, I know the 3rd gens call for Dexron III or equivalent. I looked today at autozone and found this

Anyone recommend one over the other? I kinda figure I'll use the import ATF.....
I've never had automatics until the 4runner, so I'm totally unfamiliar with ATF.

I would go with what the owner's manual recommends for all fluids (that's how I would decide between 10 and 5W-30). You don't always have to follow that exactly, but its a good starting point. Don't mess with tranny fluid, do what the manual says to do.

Well, both of those Castrols supposedley are Dex 3 compatible, so is one better than the other?

Use the weight oil listed in the manual for the engine. Whatever brand you like. For the transmission only use Toyota fluid. Do not mess around with anything else. I recently read a report (do not remember where) that a lot of transmisons fail shortly after people had them serviced. It was traced to the wrong fluid being used. I always use original equipment oil in all my auto trans and never had a problem. It is really not that expensive either.
