once again - 95 3.0 4x4 auto. after my successes with the transmission and finding the body interior parts replacement - i've gotten bolder. found the paper clip trick and diagnosed my CEL - code 71.
i pulled the little valve out of the clip and tested it - pretty clogged and rusty inside. i bought some cleaner and sparayed and rubbed until the entire can was used. CEL returned in 5 minutes ...:crybaby:
went to local parts places and was told that the setup is $160. no way.
pullapart sends me an e-mail that a 95 is now on the lot. i pulled it Sunday AM - the whole thing ... when i went to replace it on my truck Sunday afternoon, i have a problem. pulling the old one off, one of the exhaust pipes was rusted/welded on. i beat on it, sprayed WD40, grabbed it with locking pliers ... it finally came off.
however, now i can't get the nut to go back on. i think i screwed the threads possibly. the other pipe sealed right on ... byt the way, it's the bottom pipe. any opinions would be welcome.
today i drove 20 miles - no CEL and ... i 'think' it's running better. thanks for all the help in the past.
