So this 3rd Gen is up the road from me and I've been looking for a clean 3rd Gen but I gotta get them down on the price, any thoughts from the 3rd Gen crowd on a fair price. I know KBB is way off on pricing the 4rnr, locally in the south east Ive seen 99-02s with 150-180k miles for 7200- some with good service records and some not so much but this one is clean........ Lots o maintenance records but no timing belt/ water pmp service yet.

2002 Used Toyota 4Runner 4dr Limited 3.4L Automatic 4WD at Hendrick Honda of Charleston, SC, IID 14124770.

Be very careful, it lived in Connecticut most of its life, check for rust on the under carriage. Plus it is way over priced imho.

All things considered, I dont think its too far off (at least in the Bay Area market). I would pay as much as $12.5 for that, but only if they did the timing belt/water pump.

And yes, check on the rust. But that thing is clean. Im sure the dealer knows it has a gem on their hands, and might hold firm on their price.

just FYI.. i paid 10k for that same exact vehicle with 120,000....

id say its a good deal after you tell the dealer you're only paying 12k

looks good to me...

mine had a couple things to consider but this one looks flawless.....

makes me hopeful i will find another low mileage 3rd gen sometime in the near future

This is CRAZY cheap esp for a dealer. If i were in Texas or neighboring states, Id pick this up in a heartbeat. 1 owner, low miles, 4wd, Ltd.

Someone grab this!

Gonna check it out tomorrow, had the dealer send pics of the undercarriage, doesn't look bad but I need to see it in person. If it checks out I'd like to walk OTD at 12500, but we'll see.

Miles aren't everything on these 4Runners, ya know. The engines will last 300k+ and transmissions can go as long if maintained. That's a pretty penny to be paying for just a low mileage truck. If you look long enough, you can find one that's clean but less than half that price.

I could buy TWO of my 4Runners for the price of that one, and that's with a supercharger. And all I had to do was change the fluids and put a new suspension on it, which most people seem to want to do anyway.

Just my opinion. Think of it this way: Pay $14,000 for a stock 4Runner or, pay $7,000 for a stock 4Runner with more miles and have $7,000 to spend on upgrades, wheels, tires, camper, whatever you want.

Eh I'd rather have this one. It was listed yesterday but someone probably stuck a deposit on it given how cutthroat the market is here.

Stop stealing our f**king trucks you northerners.

Must resist buying a 3rd 3rd gen! My neighbors already complain that I have too many vehicles. It's one of my favorite colors too!. Whoever buys that is getting a great vehicle.
