Well your truck already has skid plates, you have one under the motor, one for the transfer case and one under the gas tank. Skid plates protect your underbody off road, they are not something to look cool. Are you talking about the little aluminum spoiler that comes on Sport models?

If your looking for what 2000se is talking about, then try searching for a Tacoma skid plate. I've seen those on guys 4runners before.

there's a couple of threads bout this.. if u're just lookin for aftermarket skid then budbuilt and skid row r bout the most popular.. if u got the money and really want looks jaos used 2 make one thats prob hard 2 find and pretty pricey

This is the one with brackets from a Tacoma but I fabbed up 3" extending plates to move it forward and snug it up against the bumper. The actual 4Runner plate is the same but the bracketsd are different and put the plate too low and forward for my tastes

***Remember this is just for looks or "factory rice" and will fold up on contact with anything solid;mine is removed before I head off road.

awesome responses guys/ (maybe gals too)

this is exactly what I was looking for. I agree the Jaos would look much better..and the SkidRow etc are the real deal and I should probably get one of those...I need to make a decision...Thanks again!!

Well if you want one just for looks then I wouldn't see the need to spend all that $ on a Joas one or a BudBuilt. That Tacoma one seems to be just what you're looking for and it's a reasonable price. I'm probably getting one myself soon.
