ok what the hell. Front end sag on driver's side?

Hi Folks,

As I dive more and more into my abused 96 4runner and it's crappy spacer lift, I find more and more problems.

The latest? The front end sags on the driver's side. I guess I never noticed it. It has 2" spacer lifts in front and 3 in the rear. The rear end sags a little more on the driver's side by about 1/2 an inch, I believe because of the panhard bar.

But the front? My driver's side fender sits a little over 36" from the ground, my passenger side is nearly 38". What gives? from the spring perch on the shock to the upper mount is the same distance, so what's adding the addional lift?

from my personal experience the drivers side will sag more than the passanger... due to the fact that the car always has someone in the drivers seat and not so much in the passanger.

im assuming that you measured the spring with the load? but it could be a mismatched strut, lower air pressure in one tire, bent suspension components, or a worn or mis aligned body shim/mount

also your drivers strut may be worn out and the passanger may not.

Your gas tank is also on the drivers side and will aid in the sag. Try measuring from the center of your hub up to the fender. This measurement will be more accurate. You cant go from the ground up and get an accurate measurement. Several factors will throw this off.

Just zip tie some bricks to your passenger side and even it out.

i solved this problem by never measuring. i knew my attention to detail/OCD would plague from from the second I measured it.
