Okay Pro Clips....What did I just buy?

Though I was buying a nice convenient holder for my phone... instead I got this piece of plastic that doesnt do anything. What am I missing?

I was looking into pro clips, but didn't purchase any from them.
But from what I understand, their product consists of two parts. One specific to your vehicle and the other specific for the device (phone, gps, etc). And you have to order both of them to work.
Seems like you are missing device specific holder.

This. I bought one for my WRX. You're missing the part for your phone (or whatever you were planning on mounting). That little piece of plastic is for wedging open your trim panel to install the mount. The good news is that the piece you have is pretty much universal and don't necessarily need to buy the other piece from Proclip (that's why there are so many holes). If you paid ~$35, you only bought half, if you paid ~$70, they didn't send you everything.
