It was a little muddy out there.

Went all over, at least all the places I knew I wouldn't get into trouble. Saw you all pulling out as I was coming in.

Ahh if I would have known that I would have stayed out there with you. We had fun. The pre runner out with us got stuck a few times but we had a good time.

Is anyone interested in an Ozark over landing trip? Just saw the video of talks last trip and it looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah, they're especially ticketing if you pull a trailer up there and unload dirtbikes/quads etc.... ask me how I know.

That said, I've gone down there quite a bit with just my vahicle and Ivee been able to move around without being harassed, but I tend to go on the weekdays when the traffic is down. I haven't gone since the storms though, so it would be interesting to see how much has been washed out or how many trails are overgrown from lack of use.

I found a really enjoyable hill climb that a bunch of overlifted big ass trucks were bouncing around on and failing to get up. They all pointed and laughed as I pulled up in a stock-looking 4Runner, then I crawled right up in front of them without a hiccup and looked back to see some befuddled looking mudders. They'd wreck my rig in the mud, but on the technical stuff they'd just have to tuck their tails and accept defeat. Lol. I'd really like to find that spot again, though. It was a wicked steep but still doable ascent. Impressed my buddy who asked multiple times prior to pulling up to it if we should rethink giving it a go.

They've dropped logs all over the trails, so I'm not sure where you're talking about. This hill climb, though, it's well west of the bridge by a good 2 miles driving and is on one of the many trails cut into the large wooded/grassland fields that run north of the river. It's probably a solid 1/2 mile north of any water up a large runoff ravine. Fun climb.

We like to go to that island with all the sand dunes in the middle of the river about 1.5 miles west of the 1-35 bridge. Once there, we tend to dig out a firepit, light it up, and hang out a bit. Sometimes we'll go even further west until the end of the island then cross the river back on the north side. The trail runs out about another 2 miles past the end of that island though. Just goes to big drop offs and heavy woods without trails.

there is a toyota/nissan offroad meeet this friday at sundogs. starts a 3:30 go to who knows. Me and a friend are going if anyone want to meet up before we head down there.:lookout:
