Anyway, who needs to bring what? lets get some things set in stone.

I peek around these Oklahoma/Texas forums often since I live close to the OK border. I wish I would have seen this earlier than I did. Make sure yall post pictures! Have a blast! Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one!

My wife and I are not camping for the night but would probably stick around for grilling or something. I just got my CB so hopefully I can get that all rigged up in time. I have a small compressor that fills me back up (stock size) and with some cool down time it could help you guys out too. I've got a small Yeti that we'll throw some drinks and lunch in. Does anybody know what time the gate closes? Would we be able to stay through dinner then head out? I could bring food or $$ to contribute...

Definitely looking forward to this trip. I will meet yall up there a little late saturday because work came up. So i will probably see you guys up in disney around 3 or 4.

Well i'm very sad. Between work and funds, it doesn't look like I will be making it this weekend. Im pissed none the less.

To my knowledge the gate does not close ever. There isnt really a gate anyways haha. You just kinda drive into the area and drive wherever you feel like. I've been in there past dark and it was fine. The only time you have to leave is if the blow the alarm (if they let water out of grand lake)

I'm gonna act like I didnt see this.

Everyone who is asking about what to bring. I don't think there is necessarily anything we HAVE to bring besides charcoal. Somebody needs to pick up a bag so we can actually grill. Besides that if people want to volunteer to bring hot dogs, brats, hamburgers, buns, etc, feel free. As far as drinks and such go I would just plan on throwing a cooler in the back of your truck and bringing whatever you want. Or whatever your party wants.

Ah, Hogans and under the dam are two different areas right? I want to run both if possible. This is really my second time wheeling so I'm not going to push it too hard...

I believe it's the same. It just not an "offroad park" per say. I'm not sure if it used to be or how it got that name because I've never actually found anything referring to it at the area. What they are if you want to be technical are recreational areas provided by the state (I believe). If you look on google maps they're just called area 1, area 2 and so on

I've been prompted to make this post by a question that some are having and that I had when I first got there. How do I get there when there is no address?
Here is my best take on this:
Coming from the WEST, which i assume most of you are. You will be on highway 28, you will cross the bridge, off to your right (non water side) and you will see alot of rocks and trees and such, this is the area we will be meeting. Shortly after the bridge there is a dirt (I think) turnoff to what looks to be a scenic overlook kind of deal. If you get there you've made it! Me and my buddy will be getting there early so when you get there call me or shoot me a text (pm me if you don't have my number) and one of us can come lead you down. It's not hard once you've been there but there are alot of offshoots that go who knows where.

If for some reason you can't find the overlook. Just get to the town of Disney and call. And we can either direct you down or drive and get ya. Disney isn't huge so it's not like we have to drive that far!

If your coming from the east it's a little more difficult because there will be more than one bridge and more than one area before you get to the meeting area. In this case I would just say drive into Disney and call me. Ill be able to help.

Hopefully this puts fears to rest if there were any.:biggrin2:

Just got off work and will be heading that way this evening. My family has a lake house on Grand Lake so I'll be staying there and just plan on meeting up in Disney tomorrow afternoon. Let me know what time everyone will be showing up and if there is anything I can bring.

So not sure if anyone will see this, but what's the plan? Anyone want to get lunch? I'll be leaving my lake house here shortly, it's about 30min from Disney. I should be there right around noon. My number is 405-834-2022 if anyone wants to get a hold of me.

I just got back to Tulsa about an hour ago, and I have to say that was awesome! Thanks Tyler for getting this together (the rest of us are too lazy haha) Anyways I know some of you guys are spending the night there but I thought I would go ahead and post some pics to show everyone else what they missed out on. If anyone else has any pics or video links that they wanna post please do so!

Just wanted to come in and say last weekend was a lot of fun and it was cool to meet up with everyone. I'm trying to go through all my pics and videos the best I can, but it's taking a while with my new job. I'll try to get them posted up ASAP.

Definitely looking forward to the next trip

Same here. We need to get another one in before everybody leaves. Funny thing is once everyone left me and my buddy went exploring and found some good trails. Next time we can take you all to panty hill haha.

Looking forward to those pics!
