old man emu suspension

I just put in an all new suspension from old man emu, spring, shock, torsions bars, on my 89 t4r, overall very happy with it but now the rear ride a bit higher than the front, I was thinking of removing the smaller leaf of the spring, has anybody done that before, or any recommendations ?

how much of a difference is it? If its a small difference the easiest would be to crank up the torsion bars to match but you will get a stiffer ride. For larger difference (like 1.5"+) ball joint spacers would be the way to go. That is unless you dont want it lifted any more i guess you could take a leaf out.

I am having the same thought as you on my 87 with OME rear 2" lift springs. My thought is since I don't haul more than 100 lbs of gear on my trips I might as well take out the overload spring and see what happens. But you can go first, be my guest!

Just remove the spring, it's no problem.. I've done it on my hilux, it's basically the same car..
