I ordered my lift today. It should be in in 5 days. I got heavy duty springs and shocks front and rear. I will take before and after pics and maybe some install pics. Any tips to make the install easier?

i havent found OME coils that give more than 1.5" of lift up front, did you??

if not, then you will sit unevenly, just a heads up.

i like it that way, but 1.5" isnt enough lift for me... i have 2" spacer and 1"BL and even that isnt enough hahah

they quote 2". maybe you get 1.5 because of the tjm. maybe i'll get 2" and then 1.5" after installing the arb. But anything would be better than the sagging soft bouncy ride that i have.

Who did you buy the lift thru? When I bought my 3" OME from Toytec, they included a really small spacer for the front to make it level out.

yeah the 5mm spacer, i got those, but i don't believe it'll make any difference. what's 4mm? 1/4"? that won't even offset my ass. but i guess it's worth 12 bucks.

i just had a brainstorm. Daystar makes a 1.25" front spacer. What if I were to put that in combination with the ome springs?
I think it might ride too bull dog. So what if I were to mill 1/2" to 3/4" off of those spacers? Take a gander and let me know what you think.

Here's a picture of my 4Runner...I don't have an ARB, but I think it sits pretty level.

Only at full turn when wheeling I get a slight rub. Everyday driving it's all good though. It's really not a problem. I would go 35's if I had some new gears and wasn't worried about gas.

Not at all. I went with a medium duty kit, I think they had 3 to choose from as far as HD goes. Get the gap covers if you plan on doing it, I ordered mine from Northwest Off-Road Specialties.

gap cover is what?? 5mm spacer? or something for the body lift?
by the way, how do you like the ride of the heavier duty? Big difference from stock?

I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Great ride, I love driving it everyday!

The gap covers will cover the space in the wheel welds after a body lift, kind of a rubber skirt.

ok gotcha. I think i'm justgonna go with the ome lift for now. maybe body lift later on. after all, i'll have to retire this 4runner to the wife soon, and she's kinda short.
