OME 2900 0r 2901 HD Rear Springs??

Hi Everybody,

What's the right rear spring for me?

Even light over-landing packing has total cargo weight of 1,000 pounds + and my 94 4Runner has the stock rear springs...the sag is sad to look at.

I have two options from Old Man Emu:

part #2900, a medium duty (0 lbs. to GVW) rear spring.

or

part # 2901 (330 lbs. constant load) heavy duty rear spring.

I am not finding what those ratings mean (I have GVW understood) and don't want to buy a spring set that leaves the rear end so stiff it's hazardous without a load. Does anybody have any experience with these springs and understand what the two best uses for each one is?

Also; I am getting a 2.5 " lift kit and 33" tires installed next summer; I just need better springs for my next two upcoming expeditions.

Thanks for any guidance or advice on either the springs or the lift and tire job.

Even the Medium duty are often overkill, and more than half the guys who install them wind up removing a leaf.

They lift the truck around 4" higher than factory height. Some play catch up with ball joint spacers in the front but the rear still looks too high. These thing are supposed to look and ride higher in the front by design, so it looks funky as hell. I cant imagine 1000lbs making up that sort of difference.

Except they're coils, which you can't really remove a part of without cutting non-scientifically and creating a bad fix.
