3rd gen fellowship. I am need of some advice regarding lifting the rear of the 4runner. I need to raise the rear by at least 1” to get to a level stance and am currently running OME 891’s. The 891’s are rated for additional weight and are supposed to give about 3” of lift. I have a 4X rear bumper with drawers, fridge, etc. Should I go with OME 861’s to gain the additional height in the rear or would I be better off with LC 7.5 (or more) coils? I have seen some reports of others getting 5.5” of lift with the 861’s and I don’t want the much. Just want to choose the right ones. Thanks!

The Land Cruiser Springs are much softer than the OME 861's. The LC 7 wraps were VERY soft, but very tall.

The 861's were SUPER TALL with no weight in my truck. Easilly 5 inches of lift or more without weight.

So with all the additional weight I currently have, the 861’s could potentially give me about 4” of lift. I think that is about what I’m looking for. Did you have to extend your brake lines with the 861’s?

I have a 4X Innovations bumper with swing out tire, recovery gear, tools, etc on my 97 and was only getting 1.5" of lift in the rear with OME 891s. I ended up going with 80 series LC coils (48131-6A570) and was sitting at 3" without the cone spring isolator. 8 months later I was sagging a little bit so I put the cone spring isolators in with a 10mm spacer and I'm now sitting back up at 3". I'd be interested to hear how much lift you get if you end up going with the OME 861s.
