OME 885 Front Springs on V6?

I know this question has been asked to death, and hate to add to it, but am looking for some specific information.

Has anyone out there with a v6 4Runner - without an aftermarket bumper - installed an OME lift with 885 springs in the front? If you run/ran this setup did you have any issues (vibration/alignment/CV joints&boots)?

The general consensus seems to be to do the 884s without the bumper - but we're planning in doing the bumper/winch, unfortunately the wait on the bumper is lengthy and would like to get the lift installed for a trip at the end of October.

On the rear springs swapping them out at a later date doesn't seem like a huge issue, but not thrilled with the idea of doing the front suspension and having to swap the springs a few months later.

Jeremy,

I ran an OME 885 setup in the front of my ‘08 V6 for about five weeks until I had time to install the ARB bumper and winch.

The ride was stiffer than stock and an alignment was required, but I had no problems with the overall feel of the vehicle. I actually preferred the OME suspension to the stock.

When the bumper and winch were installed, the feel of the vehicle did not change dramatically, but the extra weight was noticable. However, the front of the vehicle dropped a couple of inches. Another alignment was required at this time. See the photos below:

Nice truck and pics John. I like the look of the ARB bumper, did you have it colour matched to the truck? What size tires you running there?

The bumper was color matched to the vehicle. The tires are six ply Good Year Wrangler AT/S, size LT275/70R17.

The photo was taken in Syria, a terrain very similar to the area surrounding Phoenix.
