OME 895 rear springs with Icon 2.0 VS shocks?

Is it okay to pair OME 895 rear springs with Icon 2.0 VS rear shocks?

My main question is does the valving of the Icon 2.0 VS rear shocks match the spring rate of the OME 895 springs??

Totalautomotive a vender recommend the icon 2.0 for me since i already had ome 895e. Its the same rate of spring just the 895 gives more of a lift then the 895e

Should be fine. It's the 5100s that are a problem with anything over 1.5" in the rear. Regular 2.0s should be good for 2", extended travel are good for 3" I believe.

I am not worried about the lift, my regular ICON rear springs and the OME 895 lift will be the same.

I am asking if the OME spring rate matches the valving of the rear Icon 2.0 VS shocks??

and having had 895e i'd say theyll be compatible but firm/stiff. :cheers:

I just changed out my rear icon springs to OME 895 medium springs. To my surprise these OME 895 ride very very similar to my Icon springs. Maybe about 5-10 % stiffer? But I cannot tell that much difference between these two rear springs.

Now that I think of it I should of went with the heavier OME 896 springs...

Sorry to resurrect a fairly old thread, but I was just searching for info rather than starting a whole new thread. I just bought a set of Icon 2.0 shocks, and I’m looking to find coils that will par well with them and give me about 1 1/2” of lift. I have a custom 3/4” storage shelf, and carry a bunch of tools in the rear cargo area for construction that stay loaded all the time. I also tow a boat, and occasionally a utility trailer with a ton of weight on it, so I’m looking for suggestions of springs that can handle extra weight, but still have a nice ride too. This is why I bought the Icons over going with 5100 shocks since most people say that they ride terribly with higher spring rates than something like the FJ springs have.
