OME and Bilsteins?

Just to double check and see. I found a set of front shocks from a 2005 double cab Tundra he's gonna sell hella cheap. He bought the truck new and took the shocks off so they only have about 100 miles on them. Yellow and blue oem bilsteins.

Will these fit ok with the 881's? I know ome struts are made for ome coils but im not spending that much $ right now for shocks so just wanted to make sure before I bought them wich will be soon assuming they fit ok.

And since so many low miles on the shocks will they ride firm for awhile? It's either I buy these tundra oems or get the rough country shocks from wheelers offroad. Which those are made for a tundra as well with 0-1" of lift on it. I figure the oem bilsteins would still be better than cheap rough country shocks but would like opinions.

I don't think there will be an issue with fitting the springs with the shocks. The debateable issue is whether or not the two complement each other.

I'm going to be running tacoma bilstiens with 881s and spacers. Its suggested that these will ride bouncey, but I spoke to the guy who was selling them and he said that he loved the set up.

I'm going to give them a try, and if its not something I like I'll just buy new springs.

i say go ahead and do it! i wouldnt imagine that its going to effect the ride a whole by coupling the tundra struts with ome coils, and if you can get them cheaper then rough country struts then thats a no brainer, bilsteins are always gonna ride better then those cheap brands
