OME coils with XREAS

Can you replace the stock coils with OME and retain the stock shocks/struts and xreas?

No. The extra spring length doesn't seem to be compatable and it's not recommended. I understand why too much spring length without an increase in shock length would be bad especially with XREAS. I don't know that anyone has tried or if they've just followed the OME rcommendation...

I dont see how adding a longer spring to the xreas shocks is any different than adding a preload spacer. The shock doesnt know if the increased legnth is coming from the spacer or from longer springs. I believe that the issue arises when using coils such as OME that have a significantly stiffer spring rate and therefore the stock xreas shocks cannot dampen them effectively.

I have wondered the same, especially with just 883's. They just say no though Maybe the answer is no because they never tested it or want to sell shocks...
