OME lift is on, and I'm happy with it.

It took a few days, working on it a couple hours at a time due to time constraints. The overall install was not difficult at all. I hit every bolt with PB Blaster the night before, and none of them gave me an issue coming off. The most difficult part was getting the new OME rear springs in. With the truck on jack stands and the axle free, I used a jack under one side while I stood on the other to get enough clearance to have my buddy get the spring seated. I had never done anything this involved prior to the install, and it was still a breeze after I read through the threads on the topic and did a little research. If there is anyone out there on the fence about doing the install yourself, do it! There are plenty of resources to answer any questions you may have. I used this forum a great deal.

I did the OME "light load" 2" lift kit from Low Range Off-Road. 880s in the front, 890s in the rear. I paid 70 bucks to have the front struts and springs assembled with new top mounts, worth every penny IMO. It ended up costing around 950 shipped. For those who said the ride would be rough, I disagree completely. I know this is purely subjective, and maybe my old shocks were just worn out, but my 4R rides so much better/smoother now its insane. I completely forgot to take a before picture in the same manner that I took the after picture in, but here it is. Theres a slight rake that is not easy to identify in the pictures, and I hope once things settle that she evens out. What do you guys think?

It looks good. They will ride 100 times better than worn out suspension. But compared to a rig with say OEM coils like 99's and LC's or a rig running a good coil over setup they ride pretty stiff.

After years of owning my 881's up front I feel its time to upgrade to something a bit more forgiving on speed bumps. Everything else it handles really well.

But again you did get the softwer coils that most people dont get due to adding weight so I'm sure they will do you just fine.

I agree. I guess I didn't realize how worn out my OEM suspension was. When I took it for a drive when I got it done, I was expecting a much stiffer ride based on what I had read. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Im happy with the setup I went with.

265/75/R16. Bigger tires, still small enough to move without rubbing. And I used OME shocks along with the springs.
