OME Lift is on order

Well the leveling kit wasn't enough so I decided to pull the trigger on a lift went with ome 884 coils up front and toytec superflex coils in the rear. Now I am off to the tire shop to order some BFG MT KM2's in 285/70/17. I will post pics when the lift is on shouldn't take to long considering toytec is about 8 hours from where I live.

Kind of suprised your dumping the Nitto TG's already with snow season coming up and they are supposed to be good in snow. I love my KM2's but even I'm probably switching back to BFG AT's for the couple of months of snow/ice season we have down here.Had the AT's last winter and loved them and we had the worst winter in years down here.
The KM2's are not rated very good on snow and ice but you can't always go by reviews as this design is relatively new and alot of people rating the old design. Do let us know how they perform in the snow/ice.

I am actually going to get cash back on my Terra Grapplers my friend owns a tire and rim shop. I drove on BFG mud ta's on my 4th gen for a couple years in the snow not to worried about it. Plus we have blizzaks on my wifes Rav 4 and that's our family vehicle.

As for the leveling kit it is a topout spacer which stays installed when you just do springs from ome through toytec.

Could always go with the Duratrac for the snow, does well in the dirt too.

Thanks for quick response back for the pm I am pretty sure I will like the setup I would have gone Icon or Radflo but I figure the money I save from this will go to sliders. I was originally going to go with Duratracs but the KM2's are alittle cheaper

I've had MT's (old tread) for many winters, they've never disappointed. those that give them bad reviews are probably bad drivers as well.

Yeah it seems people expect the tires to make up for their lack of driving skills then give them ****ty reviews when they cant take corners super fast with a mt tire lol. On another note my friend just ordered my 285/70/17 KM2's they are going to cost me $675.00. As of right now it should all be on and done by this Friday I will hopefully have some pics up by then.

i know Hawkdog has mentioned this before, and i don't mean to split hairs, but how exactly is it an "OME lift" if it's only OME front coils? the rears are Toytec; what are the shocks?

I guess it isn't technically a full OME lift since it is only front coils. I am going to be running stock shocks and struts. So I guess it is a Toytec lift since it has more toytec components then OME? But yes at this point it is splitting hairs I guess I put OME first since more people are aware of OME lifts and would probably search that first then they will see this post and not have to ask more questions and start new threads when it has already been discussed.

OME is never a company that you just get a "kit" for. I have been running OME stuff for over 10 years on 3 different trucks. This isnt 4wheel parts. You dont need a "Kit", thats the nice thing about OME, lots of options for coils and shocks... Just buy the coils you want, the shocks you want, and if you want put them all in a big box and with a sharpie write OME Kit on the side to make everyone feel better. OME prado stuff works on 5th gen, so the discussion is pretty much over...

EDIT: I am not trying to be a jerk, its just hard to make it clear the stuff fits, this kit talk is silly, just order the parts...

i'm glad you said you weren't trying to be a jerk, because having already written this sure makes you look like one:

I did OME coils in the front, im running toytec rear coils, but the front ones worked just fine.

Edit: OME didn't have a kit available when I got my lift, but I decided to guinea pig my own package and the coils worked just fine.

Fair enough, I don't know why I wrote kit either, ive bought prob 8 different pairs of coils and shocks over time from OME, never anything that would be considered a kit, unless two coils in one box is a kit. I know tons of companys put kits together, SLEE, rocky rd outfitters, ToyTec, etc. but literally any single one of yall could have done that months ago. It would just involve a shopping cart of 4 items instead of one.

And again, I apologize for sounding like a jerk. It just gets annoying when people don't realize the product they keep asking for already exists and is sitting under multiple peoples trucks.

Just so people know, My buddy has a TE as well with OME in each corner, with shocks... all OME and it works just fine...

I also hope the 285s don't rub on the UCA with my wheels I looked it seems there is enough room considering they are only 20mm wider then what I am running now.

Do the OEM Trail Edition shocks have firmer valving than the SR5 stuff?
