OME lift kits

Hi guys,

this is my first post to the forum. i just got a '05 4runner, and here is my situation,
i've got leaked rear suspension which need to be replaced, and my stock tires still have a pretty deep thread on them.

I'd like to get the whole heavy duty lift kits for my 4runner, however since im not going to replace the tire till maybe another 10000miles, i cant just put the whole kits on my 4runner, it will look somewhat awkward, high ride with tiny tires. Therefore I'm planing to change only the rear shocks with the stock coil, till its time to replace my tires. Is it going to be okay when my 4runner articulates on uneven roads?

your rear non-xreas shock is blown? or your rear xreas shock is blown?

either way I say just get the lift and deal with the tiny tires. It won't look that bad to begin with and will be more of a pita to upgrade later on. Just get it done at the same time so all of the shock/coils are worn evenly (not that it really would matter though).

and to answer your question, yes you can run the ome rear shock if you want.

good luck

I just bought the heavy duty lift kit for my 4runner,
anyone know what is the largest size bfgoodrich all-terrain tire i can put?

im pretty sure 285/70 is what most people, myself included, are going with. there is trimming required, so depending on your comfort level with that id say go from there........ hope that helps.
