what about Landcruiser coils hybrid lift,

how about sonoran steel?

how about fabtech lift?

what about a Solid Axle Swap, then you can lift it too..

I was talking to a yota geek and he told me to get the lc coils and for the front get the OME Tundra coils and that would level it out around 5-6".

You simply cannot do more than 3" of suspension lift in the front unless you SAS or do a lame drop CV bracket lift. Your CVs won't handle anymore than 3".

Thats not entirely true... if you do a 2" diff drop you can go to 5" inches...

Dude on RM4wd.org here in denver has done that...

My question is why go 5-6 inches when we already have a high CG and can wheel almost anywhere with 3" good tires and if really need it add lockers.

OP best way to get the right answer is to figure out how you are going ot use your vehicle, what type of ride you want and be realistic about it. Then from there we can answer more correctly. One lift does not fit all.

I have heard of more than 1" diff drops, but realistically I can't see how they are functional. Because with my 1", my diff is pretty much sitting on the frame crossmember and can't go any lower. It could rotate, but that will just put stress on the driveshaft/u-joints instead of the CVs. I think it's a case of "robbing Peter to pay Paul". I would like to see more info on this though, never seen it in person.

Toytec lifts

The OME coil will sag much earlier than the ToyTec coils will.
The OME warranty is a limited coverage for 2 years, where as ToyTec's come with a Lift Time Warranty.
Yes, the adjustment.
Better looking color ;)
Our custom top mounting plate is just a little thinker than the stock plate is, so essentially, you are getting a little extra lift that way.

We like the OME gear, that's why we have a warehouse full of it. It's just right along side our stuff. :)

Ok, I called up the guy, he has a 5" lift in front with some coilovers and a spacer...

He did a 1" diff drop with another 1/2 inch of washers to get it a little lower, his Cvs are fine with new boots... He hasnt had any trouble since he did his lift,

But, he can also swap out an axle in 30 min by himself so if he breaks one, no problem.

Hence his Nickname "Axle"

hey so instead of starting a new thread... again... I've been looking at both of these lifts. The toyotec looks nice but it's $250 more than the OME, I have the OME on my 1994 4Runner and loved the ride and off-road capability. I don't do rock crawling, i stick to mud holes and trails up the mountain. I do some rocks, but nothing I'd need to dual case or anything on. So i guess my question is what's best for what I do? I like a level looking ride, so the adjustability is nice. My truck will be getting a heavy front bumper and eventually a fab'ed rear bumper to match. The front bumper will go on with the lift so I'll be getting the HD front coils, and I have a significant amount of weight in the back so probably the HD or MED duty in the rear. Thoughts?

I just went with the Toytec boss lift. Should arrive this week and install this weekend. I optioned the 600# front springs with superflex rear coils. The front struts have been valved specifically for the setup and the said they can rebuild them. After lots of reading it seemed like a good value and a culmination of their experience of building toyota lifts. I will review in depth in my build thread. Good luck deciding never had so many options.
