I've been looking/reading for a couple hours, are OME lift kits for 5th gens only available in 3"?

Thanks ...

I have 884 springs up front with 285 duratracs and I'm at 38" + or - 1/4".

884 is the lowest lift you can get from ome

edit: forgot about 883. it's a half inch or so less lift than 884

883's are the lowest they gave me somewhere between 1.75"-2" after settling. I currently run 884's and they are close to 3" of lift on my current set up.

Below are some more OME spring specs not listed in the PDF.

OME 2883 375mm, 590lbs/in, Bar Diameter: 16.5 mm,

OME 2884 390mm, 590lbs/in, Bar Diameter: 16.5 mm,
OME 2884 Coils designed for 0-50 lbs of additional front weight (no bumper and no winch)

OME 2885 395mm, 590lb/in, Bar Diameter 16.5mm
OME 2885 Coils designed for 70-180lbs of additional weight (with bumper or winch only)

OME 2887 400mm 590lb/in Bar Diameter 16.5mm
OME 2887 Coils designed for 250+ lbs of additional front weight (bumper & winc

I guess this is what I'm confused about. I'm going to pick up 5100s, but I'm not sure what to do about coils. I don't want more than 2" lift, so am I best off to go with the 5100s set at 1.75 with OEM coils, or stock or .85 setting with light OME coils?

I would just go with the 1.75 setting on the 5100's. If you want to spend more money and have stiffer springs 883's with the 5100's @ zero or OME struts.

Reviving my own old thread!!

SO ...having 5100s and OME 883s and planning on a Shrock bumper and winch.

I can still bump up the height on the strut, but from folks with experience, should I look at moving up to 885s due to the weight?

I did stock coils at 1.75" on mine and everything was fine until I added the bumper and winch. They added ~155 pounds to the front weight and the factory springs settled about 3/4". I reset the 5100's to 0 and installed 885 springs from this page to restore the lift and ride. There is a description of each spring's intended purpose at the bottom of this link. I would ask how much the Shrock bumper and winch combined will weigh and go from there.

140 lbs for the bumper and most synthetic line, non-integrated winches weigh in around 70 lbs.

Looking at your link, I'm somewhere between 885 and 886 ...so I guess I'm looking for owner input between the two. Ride height, stiffness, sagging, etc. Most of my searches end with a lot of posts saying, "I installed ______, and now I'm not (fill in your selected regret wording)", and I'm just trying to avoid that. I have an agonizing three month wait to work this all out.

Thanks!

If you're adding a SW bumper and a winch I would get the heavy duty coils from OME. I have a SW and the Heavy duty (there's a grade higher than heavy) and I have about 2.85-3" of lift in the front after settling. There's no nose dive when braking and the extra weight actually makes them a nice ride. Even with the extra 70 lbs for a winch I really don't think it will be the straw that breaks the camels back and makes the coils less than what you want. If I am correct the heavy coils are rated for 350lbs which leave about 140 lbs of leeway keeping the front stiff but not jarring.

In the rears I have medium coils and those are very stiff until I load up the back with at least 100 lbs then the ride turns more plush

I also have 3 ply "D" rates MT's so the sidewalls are ridiculously thick which makes the ride more stiff anyway.

I'm happy with the 885's. It's right at 2" lift and very close to factory ride with maybe just a hair more stiffness up front. Nothing jarring. I think I have about a 65lb reserve before I MAY need to worry about some sag. Which should cover a second battery if I ever go that route. My synth line winch did weigh in at 95 lbs, but I know there are other lighter ones.
