OME spring suggestions.

Hey team, i'm looking to get either 884 or the 885 OME springs for the front of my rig... I want 3" of lift up front. I'm looking for any input from the guys who are, or have run either of these springs on bilstein 5100s. I know it's been discussed, but i havnt really found a clear answer so forgive me if its out there.
I'm currently running bilstein 5100 front and back on my 16' trail (non kdss). I have the front set to max (2.5" lift) with stock springs, and jba high caster control arms. The rear is on stock springs and 1" spacers. The ride quality is pretty good, just a little bit firm up front.
Now, if i get the ome 884s and set my 5100 to stock height, am i going to need spacers to get the full 3" of lift?? Or do i get the 885s? Are the 885s too stiff with no load?
Like i said, just looking for any input from anyone with experience with these springs. Looking to get that full 3" while keeping the billies. Thanks!

I don’t have first hand experience, but you should look into 885’s set at zero for approx. 3” up front. For a few bucks extra, replace rear spacers with 895E coils for 1.5” in the rear.

Yeah, look for something else.

I ran 5100's with ome 886's. I started out with the middle perch, and probably achieved about 3" of lift. At the time, I ran the arb skids, an 8k lb cable winch, and a dual battery. Things were good for a couple months, then the springs started to settle.

So I took it all back apart, moved everything up another notch, and everything was good again........for another few months. Before too long though, things really started to settle pretty badly. So I was taking everything apart again, and I ended up in the top spring perch. But things we good again after that..........for about 6 months, and then things really started to sag.

These springs which were supposed to provide 3" of lift without preloading the shock, were struggling to give 1.5" with the preload maxed out.

After that, I got proper adjustable coilovers, and things were great for 7 more years.

Ay thanks for the feedback fellas. So i found a set of 885 last night for pretty cheap and figured id give them a shot. Jono, thats got me a little worried now.. not that i know a ton about spring longevity, but that sounds like a horrible experience lol. Hopfully with no load, these 885s will last me a little longer than that. If not, i guess i'll pony up and spend some $$$$. Thanks again
