OME Standard versus Medium coils - Qs

So I am about to pull the trigger on the OME setup. Still struggling on decision of the coil springs. Don't know if I should go with the Mediums or Standards (soft). My rig is a '98 limited and is over 90% street use. With maybe occasional off-road park. I am assuming the shocks are the same for both springs. And of course the mediums will prolly be a 1/2" higher.

The question is for those that maybe sampled both the soft and medium springs, is there a big difference in ride quality between the two? Again thinking of the use as mainly street use, if I go with the mediums, will i regret it in comparison with the standards? I know this is very subjective but I thought maybe there might be some info I can use in my decision process.

ive got 882s with n91s shocks and 891s with skyjacker 8000 shocks out back and its also about 95% on road ride is firm but not super stiff

in the last year I have switched:
stock to 890's
890's to 891's
891's to 890's in a different rig
and other rig with 890's to 891's

I can tell you this. The ride height difference between the 890's and 891's is almost nothing when not loaded. When loaded the rear lowers LESS with 891's than 890's.

It really has everything to do with load. If you aren't going to carry a lot of people/gear then the 890's will probaly be more comfortable. If you are going to carry weight more often and you want the ride based on a loaded rig then I would go with 891's. They carry more load with less settling, thus the are a "higher" lift when loaded.

After all my swapping of my rig plus two other folks' to get the set up I wanted, I went with land cruiser coils, because even the 891's weren't stiff enough.

Nice description. I went with the mediums which are the 891s I assume. I don't carry alot of weight but it's nice to have that option. I'll post some before and after shots.... Should get them installed next week sometime.

id at least recommend the adjustable panhard bar from sonoransteel unless u like you axle not centered

Would I really need one for a 2" lift? I thought that usually lifts of up to 2" does not affect other components. At least the OME site did not recommend getting a panhard bar.

Took your advice and got the panhard adjustable then I also got the extended brake line for the rear, Emergency cable extension and for good measure the diff drop kit all from sonoransteel. So hopefully this should cover it.

good choice would suck to get your lift installed just to find out the bar is to short and the axle is 2'' more to one side

What is a panhard bar and what does it do? I don't know these things....

Standard if you do not carry any additional weight. yes the ride would be rougher.
