On the fence about which lift!!

I know I want a 1.5 inch. Do I want a body or suspension? Which one do you prefer and why? Daystar is 159.99 for the suspension lift.

Also, when I was looking under the truck today I noticed on each side where I have 3 body mounts, the middle one is missing the top bushing. Is that normal or something I need to be concerned about. I can take pics tomorrow if neccesary.

It really depends on what you do with your vehicle. I'm not the most experienced T4R offroader to be telling you this but it sounds like need to hear something. Guys that wheel a lot, trek, go on expeditions, have $600+ to spend on a suspension (not a bad thing - I just don't have it) and so on...will tell you to get an OME lift or some other full replacement suspension system. I don't have that kind of coin right now...but I want to join the fun too. The daystar kits are good kits to fit larger tires. They do what they say...lift your truck. BUT, it won't improve your offroad capabilities...in fact, they do more harm than good. Over extends your shocks and kills your coils. Me, I went with the Daystar 2.5" kit. My truck will only see fire lanes, some mud, beaches, etc....It will never full articulation. I live in FL. After a year or 2 (if I still have this truck) and my coils and shocks are shot...I'll sell the daystar kit for xx amount and put it towards an OME setup, if I can afford it.

If you have the money buy a REAL suspension kit...go for it. But if you just want to gain an inch or two to clear bigger tires....go for Daystar.

My truck rarely ever sees mud and it will see even less full off roading. I have 265/75/16 that I just got and plan on keeping them for a WHILE. To be honest, it will be more form than function. I just want to put a little more space in the fender well. At the same time, I don't want to risk messing anything up. I am used to turbos and straight line racing so lifting a truck and brush guards are still kinda new to me. I figured a 1.5 inch shouldn't do any damage at all but that is why i'm asking just to be assured. Thanks for the input.

Even spacers will improve your off road capability. You'll still be able to clear more stuff with bigger, the undercarriage will have more clearance (everything but your rear diff will benefit from the spacers), and your approach/departure angles will be better. They will smash your coils after a while, but coils are relatively cheap to replace. Your stock shock will probably need replacement anyways by that time too so it doesn't really matter about them. Daystars are probably your best cheap option.

As opposed to a body lift that will only allow for larger tires and just the ground clearance you get from them.
