On the hunt for fat chrome nerf steps or just bars

All I see are 3” chrome nerf bars. I’d prefer at least 4” that snug right up under, and bolt on. Fat Nerf step bars would be even better. Any ideas or links? Every time I see some they are for domestic trucks. Chrome is a must...yes, I’m older and I’m stuck in the 80’s :banana:

Does it have to be chrome? Geesh to each their own I guess.

Anyways Chrome is a rarer and more expensive material with each passing year so that could be part of your problem.

Chrome color at least...Shiny. Doesn't have to be ACTUAL chrome I suppose.

I'd like them to match the stock wheels and I'd like to get a chrome bull bar to match. I'm not a big fan of painting wheels black, and spending money on black wheels when the stock ones are in great shape doesn't make sense to me, so the stock wheels stay. Black nerfs, black bull bar and shiny wheels...not too sure about that. It's Thundercloud Gray and I think the chrome is a nice compliment.

Honestly though, I don't think chrome is the problem. Most bars I've looked at are offered in both chrome and black, but they all seem to be 3" and I'm hoping to get at least 4", that snug right up in there. 3" ones with gaps between the bar and body look cheap to me, just kind of hanging there. Just my opinion though.

You're best bet is to find a fab shop near you that can make them for you how you want them.

Or find a set that is roughly the length that will work and modify the brackets to work with your 4Runner.
