So I have a Milwaukee took bag that my impact and drill came in. I am looking to see what everyone uses to carry their tools. I have a Husky tool box I am thinking of building out but there isn't a ton of room. Drawer system is not a option What do you have and where do you have it. Pics would be nice also.

I carry a small set of metric tools in a bag that lives in a box that lives in my 4runner. The basic sizes based on what the FSM says. few screwdrivers, pliers, and other things just in case. The tools you carry kind of depends on what you expect yourself to be able to do as a trail fix if you have to. Long journeys I tend to carry more.
In my 3rd gen I always carried what I needed to do LBJs or CV's since they are relatively common issues. 5th gen I just carry the basic stuff+ duct tape, zip ties, and my sat phone.

I have an ATC shop roll with mostly metric stuff.
Have a 3/8 IR shorty air impact that's with me too. Runs off ARB dual compressor and tank under the hood.
Super useful to have if you are routinely in need of an impact or air ratchet.

$100 is not a ton for a bag that's going to hold 1k in tools.
And expensive

carry the tools needed to replace parts you think you can do on the trail. my baja trip i'll be taking tools needed for cv axle and inner/outer tie rod replacements (so this includes all the tools needed to remove the surrounding parts, coilovers, UCA from spindle etc..) anything more than that i'll just call it quits and have it towed lol.
Too expensive for my blood.
So I have a question, Where is everyone putting this tool kit? I am in the process of making one but there really isn't a place where it's out of the way. How much room is there under the back seat's can something fit under them? If yes, what? I have the Mil power tool bag but everything is just thrown in there and I have a Husky tool box but it's big and bulky.

Before I went drawer system I was using a large Plano ammo box: Rustrictor™ Field/Ammo Box | Large | Shop PLANO
Had a nice O ring that blocks moisture and dust so I could count on the tools being okay with all the off-roading.
Bought small-sized socket organizers to fit in it for all my 3/8 and 1/2 sockets: Amazon.com: ARES 70149-3/8-Inch Drive Black Aluminum Socket Organizer - Store up to 10 Sockets and Keep Your Tool Box Organized - Sockets Will Not Fall Off this Rail: Automotive
Everything else I basically sat freely in there. Wrenches, ratchets, pliers, you name it. I was able to fit my M18 Milwaukee 3/8 Impact on top of it all with a spare battery.
The only things I couldn't fit was my torque wrench, breaker bar and dead blow.
It was a great box as it has a handle, and the lid is even a bit high, so you have about an extra inch with the lid closed from where the top of the box ends. Being it's made for Ammo it could handle the weight of the tools with no issue.
