Well, it may help to get that dead body off the side of the dimmer headlight. :D

On a more serious note, i would check the connections of the bad headlight to make sure that it is not corroded or that the wires running from it are in good condition. Does the dimmer headlight have moisture/fog in it??

With the headlights ON, does the dimmer headlight get brighter if you move/rotate/jiggle it a little??

Or maybe, simply, your dimmer headlight is on it's way to the grave? I would try to either switch the headlights to see if the same occurs or buy one new headlight/bulb and try it.

Hope this helps you in some way...good luck.

The commercials are right, headlights can dim over time. May just be time for a new set of bulbs. (It's a good practice to replace in pairs).

Also, make sure your lens covers are nice and clean. Most times when I noticed dgraded headlamp output, there's a decent buildup of road grime on the lens covers.

My Tundra's covers get so bad at times that I have to wet sand them with 1000+ grit sandpaper to get them clear again.

But my bet just goes to a bulb burning out. HIDs would fix it, unless the cover is starting to get grimed, but I bet a regular set of replacement bulbs would fix it too.

Check to see if the bulb is installed correctly. One of my lights did this once. It was not seated properly. Reinstalled the bulb and then it shined properly.
