Crazy mileage. I thought I drove a lot. Good lord. 125k a year. Did he sleep in the thing. Good on him for doing the maintenance. And good on Toyota for offering him a new rig. But I think they should have put it in a museum not take it apart. [emoji22][emoji22][emoji22][emoji22]

Nope it was a 4.7, the UZ series is probably the best engines Toyota has ever ever made.

Every manufacturer has these stories ( some more than others )
But a single vehicle although impressive doesn't constitute overall brand longevity.
Put Toyota numbers up against most other manufacturers and you'll really see amazing.
When you go to central/South America or even a lot of Africa you don't see people driving silverados. Just sayin

That's great to see. I have a regular customer of mine with an 07 with the 4.7 he's shooting for 500k. Car is currently at 367xxx getting some brake work done in the shop as I write this

One of my in-laws works in the SA plant. It arrived there yesterday. He texted me a photo of the odometer.

Some are saying it was a V6 - this site says otherwise. Click on the photo - 5 gallery shots. One clearly shows a V8 engine:
