Only have valet Key

4th Gen 4runner 2006:

History: Previous owner had 4 keys programmed for this vehicle. Over the years managed to lose 3 Keys which were masters. The only key left is a valet Key. How can a duplicate key be made since you need a master I have heard to accomplish this.

Can a dealer resolve this without having to replace the immobilizer computer? Can this be done by a locksmith? Thank you

Anyone can easily be annoyed and upset if the cars are not move properly and quickly with their time span which results in poor impression of establishment.

I've been checking on a key my self. The best thing to do is contact your nearest Toyota dealer ship. they should be able to take what you have and make a key for about $125. If saving money is a concern, go on ebay buy a blank and take it to them to program. The dealership is about the only one that can program it unless the lock smith is really on his game.

How does anyone lose 3 keys?

A lock smith made me a master key that I then used to reprogram on mine. The master key just has a bigger tab at the end. You then use it to reprogram doing the open close door steps.

wondering myself. Lost all keys- bought new switch with new keys now cant get it to reset.
