Well, I was kicking the soccer ball today and I managed to break the glass in the driver's side mirror of my 98 runner. Lots of cracks but no pieces fell out (yet). Motor still works, just busted glass. What are the possibilities for fixing? Considering semi-stabilizing the cracks with glue or something, and then having a piece of mirror cut to stick on to cracked one. No inspection in Ala. Can I buy just the glass OEM to replace just the mirror, not the entire fixture? Help, this will bug me until I fix it. TIA

funny u mention that, i had a DUCK, yes a DUCK fly out in front of me and hit my drivers side mirror so hard it shattered it. Go to advance auto and they can give you a replacement that sticks on in place of the old one. Mine fits and lines up perfect. Its around $15-20

I had a heated mirror replaced on my CR-V for $90 including labour. They just replaced the glass and its frame, not the whole mirror mount. I'd imagine safety only requires two of three working mirrors.

New mirror is 28 dollars online or 39 at the dealer from Toyota.
