Oops... Intake Manifold Question

Sometimes projects start simple and get difficult.

I had a 0306 code (misfire on cylinder 6) and needed to do some maintenance anyway, so today I am changing the spark plugs and wires. While things were open, I was cleaning the throttle body. I was spraying seafoam in it and rubbing off the grime.

Then, the red plastic nozzle went flying off the aerosol can of Seafoam and disappeared into the throttle. I can't see it, so I'm guessing it went into the intake manifold.

How do I open this up to search for this piece of plastic (which I'm sure I need to find before trying to start the engine.)

Help... I've never gone that deep into an engine!

thanks

Happy Ending to this story...

I used a zip tie to hold open the butterfly valve and then put my brightest light up to the opening. I searched and found if I got really low, I could just see the end of it poking out.

I got my long grabber tongs and slid them in and caught it on the first try!

Hallelujah!

Awesome! Glad you found it.

It probably would have been fine if you didn't but for piece of mind it's nice to get it out.
