He's definitely a bit high, but prices are much different here in California. If there was no rust I'd say that would sell for 3,500 where I'm at.
The interior looks really clean so that tells me I wasn't abused too much, curious to see pics of the underside though
 
It would definitely need some work on the rust...looks nice inside. I would spend the $100, if you really want it having your mechanic look at it.
I would be very cautious with that many miles. I know these engines are great, but this one is on it's final laps...good luck! It's really clean looking, besides the rust[emoji258]

It's not a bad asking price. If you buy used from a private party, you know the drill, they're high, you hit 'em low and then you meet somewhere in the middle. It hasn't sold in two weeks, so money talks, cash is king, etc. I don't think the fact that it's IFS should really be a pricing factor for an original, unmodified example. These trucks are getting good money in original condition.

Haha what's a mechanic?

The reason I had to learn everything about Toyotas was because the local shops wouldn't touch them they were so old.
 
I have one near me that is 100% rust free (from out of state) and super clean for that price. if you wanted to make a 5 hour drive. lol It's not mine, but I've been lusting over it for a while now.

I suppose it might depend on what your wanting to do with this runner. That rust isn't a problem if it's going to be bashed in soon. It's tough to find many this generation without some rust and in need of a paint job, around my neck of the woods. His price does seem a bit high, even with the recent work.
 
Hes high for sure I got my 2 gen 65k original miles spotless inside and a little rust not much an I only paid $2200

that's a LOT of visible rust so I can only imagine how the frame looks. And isn't that a retired plate?

That's a big pass from me. Also, have a Craigslist rule, if the seller says "rare" - stay away as they usually want way more than what it's close to being worth.
 
Boy is that turbo ever sweet! It does encourage me to keep restoring mine. Now I need to work on the restore and drive in 100,000 miles backwards to scrub the miles off of it.

Nick, decent price, but do want to deal with rust? If I recall that is the major issue you have with your present truck. When I was in Florida not serious about a truck, they were all over for $2500 to $3500. Lately they seem more. If you don't want rust, stay true to that. Deal of the century comes weekly.
