I'm not the most active in the community but I'm on here regularly looking up stuff and learning lots from the wealth of valuable information here. Using the search option has kept me from needing to post for the most part. With all the information and expertise here I am looking for some opinions as to what I should do.
Vehicle: 98 Limited with e-locker, audio, 3 inch OME, warn 8k winch, HID hi/lo retro, +more lights on 265/75/16 Duratracs (summer) and 265/70/17 Nokian Hakka 8 SUV Studded(winter). I love this vehicle and have had it a little over 3 years. Got it just over 200k km(130k miles) and she now has about 260k km(165k miles)
Here is where I'm faced with a dilemma. Bertha's frame has rust from living in Ontario for 17 years( lots of salt). Rear diff whirl is really loud, e-locker still works). I also have a unidentified driveline vibration at 70mph+ that is like some one turned on the bass and just let it hum as well as an engine oil leak. She's had 2 axelshafts that were clicking, 2 t-case seals and a wheel bearing done recently.
Should I keep her or start searching for a 4th gen TE? Ideas and expertise welcome!
