Opinions needed on rim paint

So I had a G35 that I loved, seriously, loved that car. It was similar in color to nautical blue. I put bronze Work rims on it and could not have designed a better looking car if I had CAD and a degree in engineering or design. That's how I felt anyways.



Now I have my truck, I'm just as happy with it but I want to paint the rims as I'm saving money for mods that would do more for it than buying new rims would. I have decided to try and get as close to the bronze that the G had as possible. I have a 2005 black Sport which means that the front and rear bumpers have silver trim and the roof rack is silver also. I need opinions on whether or not to black out all the silver. When I put the rims on the G, my gf mentioned that the chrome window trim clashed with the bronze rims and my OCD went into overdrive until I had a local body shop black out the chrome. Now I'm thinking that the silver trim on the truck will clash with the bronze rims. OCD going off like crazy again. It's not a huge deal to paint it all black but I'm wondering what y'all thought.

Here's what I'm thinking...YMMV...if you're already thinking that it might clash, once you paint the rims you'll be convinced that it does. Might as well schedule a weekend and do it all at once.

Do you not have the same eye w/ your 4Runner?

Some people will say leave others will say paint it...how will that help you make a decision about your own truck? Do what you think looks good as you did w/ your G35.

Not exactly apples to apples as you can't see the bumper trim while looking at the rims but the chrome was directly above the G's rims. The rack is pretty far away form the rims which might help. I'd really like to trade someone for a black rack but chances of that are slim.
