Opinons...Horned Toyota Symbol

My wife and I own a sign and decals shop here in Louisiana, since we too are 4Runner owners and lovers, if there is anything you may want made or drawn up, feel free to let us know.... We have been in business for almost 12 years and do all sorts of signs, vinyl decals, T-shirts etc.... We can take an idea and turn it into reality..... Just message us if anyone has any questions etc...
We have been a member here on T4R.org since September, and enjoy the warm welcome and wealth of info everyone has provided here....

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but if you're ever selling a small vinyl cutter, please let me know!

Wow! this thread turned negative out of no where. Turns out that, eventho I love it, i'm removing it because it got damaged a bit, and it makes the rear wiper usless not to mention it makes my truck too indentifiable (I can't even rob banks anymore hehehehe).

The horned Toyota symbol is awful looking, IMO.

Thats a bit harsh but if thats your opinon then so be it. Don't get me wrong i'm open to opinons, hense the title of this thread, but you could have gotten the same message across just by saying "doesnt look good" opposed to something as severe as "awful". Good thing opinons are like azzholes...everybody has one but they usually stink!

I don't like the size of the sticker especially on an otherwise stock truck looks a bit obnoxious and kinda high school looking but I do dig the stickers just smaller would be a little classier.

Good eye Ron....It seems "high school looking" because i'm only 20 years old. Altho I've already graduated college and started my career i'm still obviously immature but at least i'm mature enough to admit it I do agree that it would look better on a more modded truck it was a cheap way to take the soccer mom look away from it.

IMHO, these are right there with the jeep "if you can read this, roll me over" sticker, just seems like I see them everywhere.

I hear yah but for me it's a bit different then the jeep one because I'm the only Toyota lover within 60miles of my house. I live in a small farming community where everyone loves the big three. Alot of guys here have a big chevy or ford symbol in there back window so this is my way of being different and the same all at once (if that makes any sense).

If it was maybe the 1/4 of that size or smaller, I'd put it on my truck. I generally like it but that sucker is HUGE. We already know it's a Toyota, that's just way over the top IMO.

I have stickers on my back window, but nothing really like that or right smack in the middle.

It's loud and proud just like me! hahahaha I like to think of it as a warning sticker "beware of this untamed beast". And funny enough, since these are so rare in my neck of the woods, most people don't actually know its a Toyota, you'd be suprised at how many times it gets called a jeep or pathfinder.

Allow me to refer you to THIS thread.

i emailed the dude yesterday and he said that he's only allowed "by toyota" to sell these twice a year. any recent orders were to be in by 10/31/11. :ybrick:

his next orders will be taken in April 2012! im on the waiting list :biggrin2:

Update

Finally decided to remove the rear sticker....



It was a sad day, I was starting to get attached to the sticker but it just wasn't practical. It makes the rear wiper useless, altho now that I have it off I've discover it's useless anyways lol. Not only that, the wiper was starting to peel the sticker as well, not too mention I damaged it abit accidently. So it was time for it to go...however I'm think of getting one to put on the interior side of the window but I'm not sure yet.

I also joined the debadging club and removed the TOYOTA badge and i'm gonna replace it with a IForce V8 or TRD badge.

Sorry to hear that--it was obvious YOU really liked it, and after all, that's the only person you have to satisfy with it. It would be sweet if you could have something like those see-through window covers that you see on pickup rear windows--like extra tint with your own message. Just for the record, if you put something inside, the tint will tone it WAY down, to the point of being hard to make out. I've never been a sticker guy myself, but I found one that WILL be going on my heavily-modified 2nd Gen: "I didn't build it for the gas mileage!". Just an idea--maybe a couple smaller horned-T's at the bottom corners of the window, or maybe on the big side window. Just remember, personalizing is all about YOU, not about everyone else--be yourself!

Sweet.

I just got mine in the mail before Christmas for my Taco, can't wait to get it on. 4Runner is next on the list, maybe on the same order list..

Thanks for the words of wisdom. I'm not sure what my future plans for rear window stickers are yet but I'll be sure to post pics up when I do. By the way LOVE that quote...I may have to borrow it from time to time

My pleasure, Cal. Heck, you should see my old Integra--I lowered it and slapped a carbon fiber wing on the tail--and I'm in my 40's! Probably looked tacky as you-know-what to some...but it made me happy, and I had a lot of fun with it. So have fun with your truck!
