OPT7 LED Light Bars

Whats up guys, I have been looking at these OPT7 LED Light Bars for sometime, they look well built and are decently priced. I was wondering if anyone on here has them on their vehicles, if so what do you like and dislike about them? Any other recommendations for LED bars that don't cost an arm and a leg? I am looking to install an LED bar where the lower grill is between my foglights on my 06 4Runner.

I would suggest Rigid Industries. I have no experience with OPT7. What's an arm and a leg? Price is relative on this forum....

I would disagree. I don't care who you are, 1,000 for a light bar is a lot of money. Actually, 625 for the 20" IIRC. I have an amazon bar (rear: same as ebay stuff) and it was 225 for a 40". Yes, rigids are better and blah blah blah, but 4x the price better? No way in my book. The bar I have is bright as hell and totally gets the job done.
 
Having seen the a Rigid in use compared to my off brand I will say that Rigid have better lens/optics. Is it worth it, not sure. Still undecided. No experience with Opt7 series.

Do you have a comparison shot? No doubting at all that it's better, but their single row 5w 20" is 624 as an option from SW when I ordered my bumper, my 30" single row 5w was 140 shipped and I fail to see any way in which this bar could be better - the 40" I have is definitely lacking good optics, but it throws a ton of light, the 30" has very good optics though and is also bright as hell and has a much more defined 8* spot
 
yeah, im sure the rigid lights are built better and have better customer service, but is it really worth 2, 3, even 4 times the price for a comparable one found on amazon/ebay?

you absolutely get what you pay for, but sometimes the bang isn't worth the buck

What LED bars do you guys have installed on your vehicles?

It is hard to tell what lights are built well and cheap since they all look the same. The Rigid Industries lights look amazing, but I cannot shell out that much money just for lights.

im also looking into lights but dont want to buy rigid. I've been looking around Ebay and I've found a few power sellers with 95%+ ratings with thousands, if not tens of thousands of feedback. They also state that they provide a 2 year limited warranty from dead bulbs/LEDs or whatever. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet...

Here's a few power sellers I found on Ebay selling light bars, i would suggest looking at item descriptions to see if they offer warranty options

my big one is from amazon, don't recall the seller
my 30" is from ebay totron outlet.
 
OP, Only you can decide what is worth the money and what isn't. You've got some great options to consider because of this thread. Happy shopping and good luck. Post up installed pics of whatever you decide on.

Please also consider ( or at least acknowledge) that bigger isn't always better... One may be able to get a 10" E2 or SR2 series Rigid and get more more light where you want it than a 30 or 40" that simply throws up light everywhere, not necessarily where its needed. If the point is to be seen, any LED light bar will suffice. If the point is to see then I believe, in this category, one gets what they pay for. This is simply my opinion though...

Its like comparing a daystar 2.5/1.5 to a full suspension swap.... sure the look is the same but the functionality is completely different. Only you can determine what you're priorities are, looks or functional performance.
 
Subscribed to this thread for when I go to buy my bar. I'm glad to read good things about amazon / eBay stuff though. And I'm with y'all rigid is just to freakin expensive.
 
Thanks for some of the feedback, I will be sure to keep you guys posted on what I pull the trigger on in the coming days.

I just bought some Black MB TKO Rims along with Cooper ATP tires, and also looking for a iPhone compatible double din deck, so my budget for lights is around $200. I am mainly looking to add a little more light coverage when driving in dark rural areas.

a 30" behind the lower grille sounds perfect for you
 
I have a bullbar on my ride so I am trying to figure out how that situation is going to work out with any blockage of light. I am debating on doing a mesh grill up top and concealing the light bar there, or just pull out the plastic grill on the bumper and drop the bar there.
