Optima Red Top Battery!

My OEM battery is starting to give me trouble and I want to replace it with the Optima Red Top which many in this forum consider one of the best in the market. Is there a dealer in New York City or Long Island, New York that sells them or I have to order them online? Any info will be greatly appreciated since I will definitely need to travel with my jumper cables until I replace it! Thanks.

Not to hijack but......what was the OEM battery? Any codes or numbers so I can tell if the original is still in it? I have an 04 if that matters.

Why a red top specifically as opposed to the other versions?

Your 4Runner's original battery is a Panasonic, which is not available in the U.S. So if you have a Panasonic battery under your hood, it's the original battery installed by the factory.

Panasonic OEM battery

Replaced original 2003 Panasonic with same from the dealer.
$92 with trade. Optima red top almost twice as much ($139).
Didn't make any sense for money as I got 6 years with the original.

In my case the red top is more than enough, I don't have any extra electronic equipment hooked up to my truck except the JAOS fog lights which only use when the visibility is bad, and I live in New York where temperatures can get really cold!
