Optima Red Top Spacer

I'm just about to put in an order for a 34R Optima Red Top.

I have heard from many sources that I will need a spacer because the red top is a little bit shorter. Is this correct for a 2000 Toyota 4Runner?

I e-mailed optima about the spacer and they said that they stopped making the spacer.

I have seen people using rubber things as a height adapter. If I do need a spacer, where do you guys think I can get one? What should I use as a heigh adapter?

How big of a spacer do I need?

thanks

you'll need a spacer or you can just get a new battery mount.

either way the stock ones won't work unless you add some spacers. Try adding blocks underneath the battery as an option.

Good luck
