Orange/Amber Corner lenses

I've always wanted to orange out my corners since I got the truck a year ago but never got around to it. After My truck was vandalized 2 days b4 new years and I was going to be upgrading a few things anyhow so I figured now was as good a time as any. After searching for a few weeks I FINALLY found a transparent orange spray and last night I decided to bite the bullet. While repairing my truck I also decided to go with the sport hood and 99+ headlights. Anyhow here are a few pics of how it all came out.

Very interesting, but I'd have to say I like clear corners a lot more than I like orange..

I think it really depends on the truck. On yours the orange probably wouldn't look as good as the clears do.

What Kind of spray paint you used on your lenses , where do you think i can get one and how much did it cost? Im thinking of using it on my front turn signal . I like the way it look on the 98's t4r. at least for a change coz almost everybody have clear on their 99 and up t4r. Here's a frontal pic of my 4runner.

One_96TR4... looks good with the TLC rims. If you did the satoshi mod, your truck would look like a mini FJ82. Another thing that you might want to do is to paint the turn signal part of your tail light to match the front corners. It was pretty easy to do....just taped off the red, and reverse light portion with masking tape and sprayed it with the paint. I'll post up a pic of what it looks like on mine if you'd like.

(IMO the amber corners look better on 4runners with chrome bumpers and the clear corners look better with the color coded painted bumpers.)

I also like the way the sport hood looks on your rig. I don't think I've ever seen one on a white 4runner before. The light colored paint really makes the scoop stand out.

Gimpy I'm not sure if this is the paint that One_96TR4 used...but I attached a picture below of the kind I used for mine. I got mine for 30 bucks shipped a while back on ebay, but I think they're running close to 40 now. Just do a search for "amber lens paint" and you should be able to find it.

One_96TR4....I can't tell if that's dirt or gunk on the lower plastic part of your bumper, but I've got a solution for you if you're looking to get rid of it. I posted a thread about this a while back...not sure if you saw it. You can go to pretty much any major hardware store and pick up a can of rustoleum, flat black, high performance enamel for about 7 bucks, and spray it over. It'll give it a nice clean look to it and will probably match perfectly with the black on your fender flares.

looks good man!

i took off my mud guards and left the plastic like u did, but i got a lot of mud and dirt on my truck after that...did u have that problem at all?

I just switched to the clear corner lenses but with an orange bulb. It has a clear look during the day, but completely orange at night. Have you considered that at all?

I think it looks great. The paint looks immaculate. I would have never known it was a DYI job with a spray can... Kudos!
