Orange County Offroading

So I went to silverado canyon today to offroad (been going for over a year just for an easy but fun ride up) and just saw it is closed down for about a year due to wildlife preservation. Lame. Anyways, does anyone know if holy jim and azusa are open? I heard about those 2 places but have never been there. Also, does anyone know any places to offroad near the city of orange? Doesn't have to be official or anything.

For the Azusa Canyon off road posted above, go on Sunday if you want to watch people go nuts. Saturday is usually pretty empty.

maple springs

I like Maple Springs when it is open. I live near the circle in orange and its about 40 minutes away or so. Just have to check the Gate before you head up. They post when its open here

you can take it all the way to Santiago Peak. The North Main Divide is currently open. I plan on doing a run up there mid December after I finish my energy suspension bushing install all around. I will post it up once my truck is done.

Nothing too serious, it gets steep and loose after you pass 4 corners. Its defanatly more enjoyable with a some snow fall. I hope its coming soon!

Maple Springs is going to be closed until next fall (2015) due to the wildfire in Silverado Canyon earlier this summer. The CNF website says Main Divide is open from Ortega Highway to Four Corners.
