Orange on my rotors

I put my 4runner on stands yesterday because my rims are at the shop being powder coated. It rained last night and this morning, there is a bunch of orange build up on the rotors. It can't be rust. What is it? Some type of oxidized build up? Also, should I scrub it because installing my new rims or with the brake pads shave it off?

It is rust, but there is nothing to worry about. Unless you let the rust build up on the brakes over a long period of time, it cleans off in 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Get in & start your truck
Step 2: Begin driving your truck
Step 3: Use the breaks to stop the truck

Your brakes will now be rust free :D

I get this stuff all the time after I wash my runner. It appears a few hours soon after drying. Nothing to worry about.

Cool thanx guys. Just scared me a bit because it appear so quickly out of nowhere. Didn't know rust could build up that quickly.

The other day I went to the 4R and I saw a lot of "orange" all over the car. By Instinct I tought "RUST what teh F???".

I just realize few seconds later that all the cars on the street were the same. I guess is pollen season.
