Ordered 6/100 Platinum Warranty for $700!

Ordered my Platinum Toyota warranty yesterday from our fellow forum member Shaun. I decided to go with the 6 year 100,000 mile, as this will get me just beyond payments. The cost was $700 + tax, and if you have done some checking around - IT'S A SMOKIN' DEAL!!!!

My rationale for getting it came down to two main things. First, I will be asking my V8 4R to pull a larger trailer all around the western US & Canada, where we have large mountains to climb & adverse temperatures (110 degrees, etc.). Secondly, while the power train is solid, there's a whole bunch of smarts in electronics to go south.

Anyway, I have a great SUV, covered with a great warranty at a great price!

And Shaun was great to deal with & very knowledgeable/personable.

Got the application

via FedEx today. I didn't realize this was just the application & that the binding docs would come from Toyota Financial Services.

In any case - it appears to be the real deal!

Sounds like the deal I got. I picked up the 7/100 Platinum for $795 total and $0 deductible.

I got it from someone else I found through another forum but like you it's the real deal. I got mine for $1 above cost... he does this so he can make numbers.

Congrats! However I had heard that this thing only cost the dealer a few hundred - who knows!? Still a great deal!

I don't think anyone other then a finance manager or GM at a dealership would know. You're right we will never know but compared to the $2000 or whatever the dealer charges it is still fine by me.

To me, it dosen't matter either way;(Don't get me wrong, I'd appreciate the business...) but if you can get it from your dealer at the time of purchase, that's cool. I do this strictly for the members/owners here. If you have a different Toyota model, ie Camry or Sequoia or whatever, I can always help you out with that as well.

Yes, but the 36k warranty expired 12k miles ago!
