Oregon dealers

Hey guys and gals,

Do you know of any Portland area dealers (or Eugene) that deal around invoice? I am going to call around tomorrow but I wanted to get some firsthand feedback.

Hey Borti,

Try Gladstone Toyota. Go in prepared and you will come out fine. Bring with you a calculator and the invoice price from Edmund. Know the invoice prices of all the accessories.

You don't mention if you are shopping for a vehicle or just parts, I'm guessing the latter.

I'd steer clear of John & Phil's Toyota in Corvallis- they were consistently about 10% higher than list, or the prices at Lassen Toyota in Albany, on parts I tried to buy there. They would usually match prices that I found on the web or in Albany though.

When I pointed this out to them they acted ignorant of the fact that they seem to apply a "yuppie surcharge" since they are in a generally more affluent town.

We bought a Subaru Outback there, got a decent price by playing hardball, but the salesman was kind of a ****head. And when we had their service dept "fix" the right pull on it (brand new) they didn't do a damn thing to it. I would have been back until they got it right, but we moved shortly after that.

Long story short, I won't be dealing with John & Phils any time soon...
