Other front coils with Tundra 5100?

I was going to purchase Tundra front coils, but since they are $190 per coil I am now looking at other options. Also since the Tundra has a larger coil I am worried about interference with the spindle. So I was thinking of mixing the Tundra 5100's with aftermarket 4runner coils. Right now I think my only coil options are OME (881/883) or Toytec/Eibach (112-620-P). Does anyone have any experience running Tundra 5100 with these coils? And what kind of lift are you guys getting with that combination? Thanks.

I've recently been thinking of swapping out my TRD coils for Tundra Eibachs to pair with my Tundra 5100s, I've heard nothing but good things about Eibach coils and the combo seems to be very common on other Toyota forums but not here for some reason. If you're not running much extra weight up front the 4Runner Eibachs might serve you better. Last week I reached out to a member who made this switch and confirmed that the (Tundra) Eibachs gave a full 3in of lift when paired with 5100s on the second perch, which was slightly greater than TRD coils on the 3rd perch AND with a 1/4in top plate spacer installed all while giving a smoother ride. If I recall Eibachs are also far less likely to contact the spindle since they're not as thick. Obviously I'm speaking for others and not myself right now but it's something I just happened to be researching quite a bit of frequently. At this point I'm sold and just waiting on an excuse to do it

I'm using Tundra 5100s with 883 coils. 883's are meant for added weight up front. I have bumper, winch and skids. After my suspension settled, I'm right at 3 inches. Its been holding up well, but I'm thinking about going long travel coilovers. If you're not planning on adding armor, 881's or the setup mentioned above should suffice.

So I used the front coils from a 07 taco trd off road 5spd vehicle with tundra 5100 2nd perch and T4r top hats. Probably 2 1/2” lift(didn’t measure). Clears 255/75/16 Yokohama mt tires no rub at all

I'm running 07 FJ cruiser coils up front on 4runner 5100's second perch.

Gave me about 2.5" and pretty comfortable ride. I got all 4 FJ coils on CL for $100. Pretty good deal in my opinion.

The FJ coils were about an inch taller than the factory 01 coils, so that plus the .85" or whatever it is on the second perch produced about 2.5" for me.

Huh, think this is the first time I've heard someone use FJ Cruiser coils. Cool to know they work!
