Thanks.....The majority of diesels that are ending up in the U.S. are coming from the Pacific Rim ( Australia, New Zealand and "JDM" vehicles from Japan).
A hand full are coming from Central and S.America.

The real deal! Canadian mining companies prefer that 70's series over anything else. They outlast the domestic HD pickup by many years of mining work.

Seeing a lot of Land Cruisers, so decided to post my old one.
1984 FJ60 2f 4speed with 270k on the motor (and still ran strong!). I bought it for $500 in Astoria, OR. I only bought it to hold me over through hunting season while I rebuilt the motor in my 89 4runner. Well, and it was a great deal! Ended up running the hell out of it for 6 months, through mud, snow and rough log roads. Sold it for 2 grand after 2 months. WORST DECISION EVER!
The day I brought it home

That FJ60 is a rare find. To have been on the Oregon coast and not fully rusted out, should of kept that one. I use to live in Tillamook, and everything was rusted out there
It was pretty rusted out. Door jams, bottom side of hood and the tailgate. It could have been repaired though.

This is my 1980 FJ40. It came from South Dakota and was full of rust. I'm a Bodyman so no biggie for me. I stripped the truck down, removed the tub from the frame and sandblasted everything. Por15 the frame and axels, replaced all the rubber parts. Next i cut out all the rust and welded in new sheet metal. I sprayed grey bedliner inside the whole tub.
The 2F was very tired so I bought a 300hp crate 350, put fuel injection and headers on it, as well as flowmasters.
Then the shop's painter and i custom mixed the blue paint an he shot it because i cant paint worth a damn.
Next I got a tilt steering column out of a mid 80's suburban and grey bucket seat out of a mid 90's neon.
I also had 3 tops for it the hard top, a soft top, and the half top.

First for me . 4 door fibreglass FJ45
Very cool! I had a very rusty FJ45 shortbed pick. I would of loved to have rebuilt it but the frame was rusted through in more then one place:sobbing:
