Other SUV's I have Driven an thier impression

Well I thought this was a good idea (kind of), Well as you can see i sort of thought it was a good idea to have a thread about other SUV's and their impression on you. But if this isn't a good idea just say it. So ill start off. If you haven't driven but rode in it thats fine too, or seen it.

2006 Mercury Mariner: Well to start off with the fit and trim was pretty bad, the panels looked scratched, yet it wasn't. The ride was REALLY stiff, the engine, responsive, but pretty loud and the road noise was louder than the 4Runner. The black color of the interior I do like, but the color combo of the seat look somewhat tacky. the non-tinted windows on it looked..odd. Overall it was a much better than the Ford Escape.

2001 Toyota Sequoia: I haven't driven this SUV but rode in it many, many times. It is pretty much an upped 4Runner. I like how comfortable and quiet it is, like most Toyota's. My friend has had it since new. He pulls a 15' trailer weighing in at about 7,500# it pulls it graciously and has gone through all weather conditions with it.

2004 Chevy Trailblazer: I haven't driven in this either. The ride is nicer than the 4Runner. The fit and trim is pretty shoddy, along with the cloth seats. I do like how the 3rd row seat is more combfortable that the 4Runners. Overall it was not that good of an SUV.

Older Dodge Durango: This again i have not driven in, but i definitely do not like this SUV at all. The fit and trim again is shoddy, the ride is ok, the power it provides with the V8 while pulling 2 sea-doos is very pathetic. The person who has this car has seem ALOT of problems, luck for him his wheel hasn't fallen off.

2005 H2 - Poor quality fit and finish inside the cabin. For the cost of this vehicle, it should have "felt" better. This was my brother's vehicle, and I drove it many times. It felt like a boat on the road also. Every time I drove it, I hated myself for driving it. Mainly because I call this the "look at me" vehicle of today. All show and no go. He's since ditched it and purchased a BMW 550, now that's a sweet ride.

2006 Lexus LX470 - My old man's vehicle. He switches vehicles every 10 months. He hates driving. Every time I ride with him somewhere, he throws me the keys. This thing is tomb-quiet. Fit and finish are what one would expect from a Lexus. The motor is responsive enough, the brakes are fantastic. It pulls a boat without a problem. My only quip is that it feels very top-heavy. Every time I'm in it, I feel like it's going to topple over.

2005 Lexus GX470 - My favorite Lexus SUV by far. My old man had 2 of these before his current LX470. Everything positive from my opinion on the LX470, except the engine felt a wee bit stronger. Also, I didn't feel like the vehicle was going to topple over whenever I hit a curve at 20mph+.

2006 Porsche Cayenne S - Test drove one of these. I hate the looks, but I loved the performance and handling. By far, the most sporty SUV I've ever driven. Interior was nice and clean, but not overtly luxurious, which is fine by me. Everything about it's on-road behavior was great, IMO.

2005 Ford Excursion - My brother's towing vehicle. This thing is a beast in every way. Plus, with his 6"++ lift and 37" tires, I feel like I need a CDL when I drive it. I actually kinda like this vehicle even though it's on-road manners rival a bull in a china shop. It's not the smoothest riding vehicle, and it's not the quietest (diesel) vehicle. However, I'd take it over his old H2 any day.

2006 Toyota Sequoia Limited - My wife's vehicle. I think it's a Lexus with a Toyota badge. I love everything about this vehicle, that's why I chose it. Well, I don't care for it's thirsty-engine. I do wish it had that automatic retracting rear hatch mechanism that my 4Runner has though. This one just needs to shut with a solid thunk. It doesn't click, then close on it's own like my 4R. I do like how simple the rear seats come out, and the fact that the entire vehicle is blanketed by air bags. That's a nice feeling about a vehicle that carries your family around.

2006 Nissan Armada - Test drove this one before deciding on the Sequoia. The engine was the highlight, that thing felt like it had gobs of power. Everything else about the interior felt like a rental car to me. A lot of plastic, and things just didn't feel as solid.

I've driven a lot of SUVs in my day. I'd say the only other one I've driven that I liked more than my current 4R was my college vehicle....(I'm putting on the flame suit)

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee - The V8 and the full time 4wd made this an awesome college vehicle for me. Plus, the 3.5" lift and 33s made me the only lifted Grand Cherokee I had seen back then. Maybe I liked it in college so much because where I went to school was near the Applalachian trail, and there were some sweet trails around there. This thing never got stuck, and it crawled over some decent stuff too (nothing hardcore though). I loved it until it hit 60,000 miles. Then, I was fixing things every weekend. I finally got rid of it at 75,000 miles. It was a piece of trash after that 60,000 mile mark. That's what inspired me to go Japanese on my next SUV.

I'm confused...I thought this was a review of all the SUV's you have DRIVEN, but then 3 out of the 4 say you haven't driven them??? HUH???
